Previous experience (at least 10 years) at management level in real estate development (preferably from large-scale retail or real estate investment sectors).

Extensive experience (at least 10 years) in contract negotiations with landowners, landlords, and other stakeholders.

Experience in dealing with public authorities.

Knowledge of urban planning and permitting processes.

Academic degree in law, urban planning, architecture, or engineering.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Budget management: Ability to plan, organize, and control costs and expenditures.
  • Business risk management: Skills in assessing and mitigating risks.
  • Project management: Competence in initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects.
  • Change management: Experience in creating and implementing change initiatives and stakeholder management.
  • Real estate development: Understanding of land scouting, acquisition, zoning, planning, development, and permitting.
  • Sustainable real estate development: Ability to assess sites for sustainability compliance and incorporate sustainability into the site selection process.
  • Real estate purchases and leases: Skills in investigating, negotiating, structuring deals, securing permits, and acquiring premises.
  • Leadership and communication: Proven ability to lead others, drive innovation and performance, and build relationships.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Italian, with confident and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead efforts to secure and divest locations in Italy, ensuring safe, compliant, sustainable, and innovative property solutions.
  2. Manage procurement and contributions of external consultants and stakeholders.
  3. Support the development and implementation of internal strategies and processes.
  4. Develop relationships with local authorities and communities to facilitate development, planning, and permitting processes.
  5. Oversee approval and execution of infrastructure, utilities, and off-site improvements.
  6. Coordinate with internal teams, partners, and authorities to finalize projects and ensure proper hand-over post-acquisition and permits.
