We do this by disrupting the traditional residential real estate market, providing fully furnished and artfully designed apartments for stays starting at one month. We remove all the hassle around finding a rental with no long-term contracts, moving / buying furniture, security deposits, broker fees, etc., giving choice and flexibility to allow people to live where and when they want.
We are a Barcelona-based startup with offices in Madrid, Lisbon, Berlin, and Paris. Soon we will expand to more cities across Europe.

Role |
We are seeking a RE Business Development Lead to join our launch team in Milan. This role is pivotal in establishing Ukio in Italy, building a pipeline of large residential real estate companies, property developers, family offices, institutional owners, and independent landlords.
Your focus will be on growing new acquisitions—individual units or entire buildings—and developing relationships with investment funds and investors, always promoting Ukio’s reputation in the industry.
As a startup with Ukio’s unique culture, you'll have a high degree of autonomy, facing numerous challenges and opportunities along the way.
Responsibilities |
- Build an extensive supply pipeline of apartments that meet Ukio's standards.
- Develop a strong network of real estate companies, property developers, family offices, institutional owners, and landlords.
- Negotiate and acquire long-term leases for high-quality apartments in desirable Milan locations.
- Manage and nurture relationships with property owners within the Ukio network.
- Identify and develop a shortlist of suitable buildings.
- Secure multi-unit deals for high-quality apartments.
- Promote and maintain Ukio’s reputation in the sector.
- Collaborate with various departments to resolve landlord inquiries, challenges, and contracts.
- Ensure Milan standards are maintained by coordinating with all stakeholders.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
About you |
- You have at least 5 years of experience in residential real estate or property development in Milan.
- You possess in-depth knowledge of Milan's real estate market and have an extensive local network.
- You have a proven track record managing complex legal residential leases.
- You are a skilled negotiator and relationship manager.
- You have consistently surpassed sales targets.
- You have excellent communication skills in Italian and English.
- You are flexible, resilient, and comfortable with ambiguity and change.
- You are confident working in cross-functional teams.
- You thrive in a startup environment.
