Job Purpose
The business environment relies heavily on hardware for many functions inside automated traffic control systems. Hardware Engineers are pivotal in developing components that provide real solutions. An engineer must address the entire hardware development lifecycle: analyze needs, design, test, and develop hardware to meet those needs.
Responsibilities

- Evaluate new software and hardware during deployment to ensure smooth system functioning.
- Develop and implement product designs, provide support to production, and ensure compliance with time‑frame, quality, and cost targets.
- Manage technical aspects and monitor efficient deployment of new technologies and systems, following the SIL4 development process as prescribed by EN 50126 and 50129.
- Test and document progress: test components, modify them as necessary, and thoroughly document changes to create a record.
- Coordinate with product development teams to perform Design for Testability (DFT) on the design cycle.
- Collaborate with colleagues in software, mechanical, and other departments to reduce bugs and ensure a better end result.
- Collaborate with outsourced validation and manufacturing partners to ensure timely supply of systems and devices as per specification.
- Coordinate with the client’s engineering team and management to ensure efficiency.
Experience and Qualifications
- Strong background in Electronic Engineering; bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or a similar discipline (master’s preferred).
- Hardware engineering software tools knowledge (Altium Designer, Orcad, Cadence Allegro).
- Programming languages (C, C++).
- Hardware description languages (Verilog).
