R&D Senior Engineer (m/f/d)

As an R&D Senior Engineer , you will play a key role in developing new cable constructions and improving existing products. You will work closely with R&D, production, quality, and external partners to ensure innovative, compliant, and manufacturable cable solutions that support business growth and operational excellence.

What You Will Do

R&D and Product Development

• Develop new cable constructions and continuously improve existing products
• Define technical specifications for compounds and raw materials
• Support the launch of new product lines from development through industrialisation

Supplier and External Partner Management

• Manage technical relationships with raw material suppliers
• Interface with external laboratories and certification bodies
• Evaluate, qualify, and introduce new materials and suppliers
• Resolve compound‑related defects and workability issues
• Contribute to raw material and cable cost optimisation initiatives

Technical Compliance and Internal Support

• Ensure product compliance with applicable standards and regulations
• Manage product certifications and approvals
• Oversee collaboration with standardisation and certification bodies
• Provide internal technical training and consultancy
• Support sales, quality, and engineering teams with technical expertise

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent (electronics, electrical, chemical, or similar fields).
• Relevant previous working experience within R&D/Product Development
• Analytic main set and data driven, proactive, good communication, and negotiation skills.
• Good communication skills in English and fluent Italian.
• Comfortable with using modern communication tools to deliver virtual presentations and demos, with a creative and non‑linear mindset.
• Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team and engage suppliers.
