Descrizione dell'offerta
The Challenge
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Haier Europe. The Company is on a journey to achieve ambitious business growth and leadership objectives in the region, and we need someone who is passionate, proactive, self-driven and motivated to join a team of open-minded individuals.
We are looking for an individual who demonstrates the core values of the Haier’s attitude: entrepreneurship and innovation, zero distance to consumers and IoT & Ecosystem thinking. A true change agent with an agile approach thriving for idea contamination and with a hyper-collaborative approach that breaks silos and creates an open ecosystem.
What you will do
As Laundry Performance Intern you will focus on applying Six Sigma methodologies and Design of Experiments (DoE) to develop a predictive model of washing machine cleaning performance. The model will be built using experimental data obtained through controlled laboratory test campaigns aligned with the IEC 60456 standard.
The project will be carried out in collaboration with international colleagues in the U.S., Mexico, and New Zealand, offering the candidate significant exposure to a global technical community.
You will support in the following activities:
- Learn and apply Six Sigma and statistical engineering methods (DMAIC, regression, ANOVA, model validation).
- Design and execute Design of Experiments (DoE) to evaluate washing performance drivers.
- Support the preparation and execution of laboratory tests according to IEC 60456 (load preparation, test setup, data acquisition).
- Contribute to the assessment of multiple wash cycle parameters, including wash temperature,
- wash time, water level, agitation/tumbling parameters, detergent dosage, rinse type and number of rinses, spin speed and duration
- Analyze experimental data to identify factors affecting soil removal, energy consumption, rinse effectiveness, and overall cycle performance.
- Build a predictive statistical model capable of estimating washing performance based on the tested parameters.
- Present findings to the global project team and propose optimization strategies.
What you need to succeed
- Student in Mechanical, Chemical, Energy, Industrial Engineering or similar.
- Basic knowledge of statistical tools (e.G., Minitab, JMP, Python, R, or similar).
- Knowledge in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, or machine operation principles (preferred).
- Willingness to work in a laboratory environment and perform lab tests on washing machines.
We offer a 6 months paid internship
800 euro, free company canteen, smart working, company shuttle
