## R&D Electrical Research Lab EngineerPresenta candidaturalocations: Milan, ITposted on: Offerta pubblicata oggijob requisition id: R-33734**Who we are:**Prysmian is a **global cabling solutions provider** leading the **energy transition** and **digital transformation**.Prysmian is a public company listed on the Italian Stock Exchange, with almost **150 years of experience**, over **33,000 employees**, **104 plants** and **27 R&D centers** in over **50 countries.**Everyone at Prysmian has the potential to make their mark; because whatever you do, wherever you are based, you will be part of a company that is helping transform the world around us.**Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:**We are looking for an **R&D Electrical Research Lab Engineer** to join our R&D Ansaldo Lab.In this role, you will:* Oversee and coordinate laboratory team activities, ensuring efficient workflow, clear task delegation, conducting training sessions, and a collaborative working environment.* Plan and supervise electrical tests that support the development of new products and improvements in material properties, with a strong focus on industrial application.* Analyze test results and prepare reports for stakeholders.* Work with universities and internal or external stakeholders to keep laboratory activities aligned with state-of-the-art practices and business needs.* Ensure compliance with technical requirements, quality standards, and QHSE regulations.* Act as a point of contact for internal and external clients and third parties, supporting high-quality service and strong communication.* Promote and enforce safety protocols to protect people, equipment, and laboratory operations.**Key challenges for this role:*** Ensure high scientific/technical level on the activity of the labs and high efficiency of assets.* Increase lab’s output to face the enormous increase of requested activities.* Maintain high-quality standards even under intense pressure and extremely tight deadlines.* Act as a role model for R&D activities by driving the test activities towards industrial application.**How is success defined in this role?*** Time to market: impact on DTC and new products development.* Efficiency: occupation of assets and correct choice of tests to be run.* Customer satisfaction, internal and external.* Spread technical competence and experience on recently hired colleagues.**What are the 3 most exciting aspects of this role?*** Contributing to the development and testing of critical infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and safety of high voltage systems, which are essential for modern power grids.* Continuous learning opportunities and chance to develop specialized skills in high voltage technology and laboratory management.* Working in an international environment with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, fostering cross-cultural communication and collaboration.**You are the right fit if you have/are:*** Good to excellent spoken and written English* Master’s degree in Electrical, Energy, Materials or Chemical Engineering, or in Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry* At least 10 years of experience in test laboratories, in university and/or industrial environments (a PhD may be considered equivalent relevant experience)* In-depth knowledge of electrical insulating materials; experience planning and supervising electrical tests; familiarity with laboratory assets used for electrical characterization; and strong understanding of technical specifications and QHSE requirements.* Proactivity, precision, genuine passion for laboratory activities, flexibility, adaptability, strong team-working skills, and the ability to coordinate a team while staying focused on results.* Strong communication & interpersonal skills* Decision making attitude, critical thinking and problem-solving skills* Strong teamwork skills, results oriented and ambitious mindset**What we offer you:*** Permanent Contract* Hybrid working model* Flexible working hours* Ticket Restaurants* Health Insurance* Company support on public transportation* Annual Bonus and Share base plans* Collaborative environment* Dynamic and Respectful Workplace**Our selection process**:1) Application, 2) HR interview, 3) Hiring Manager interviews and 4) Online assessment (30min)Click here to get all the tips to be fully prepared: Interview Tips | PrysmianIf you’re excited about the role and eager to contribute to a collaborative environment with challenging projects which drive impact for a sustainable future, **we encourage you to apply**!
