Profile Middle East is looking for:
Quantity Surveyor E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation)
MISSION:
Provide monitoring and management services for electrical & instrumentation (E&I) quantities on construction projects. Support the Construction Manager and Discipline Superintendent in planning, progress recording, cost control, and certification of works, in line with project requirements and Company procedures.
TASKS:
- Implement and maintain Management/Construction Information Systems for:
- Collection of erected/installed quantities
- Planning, progress recording, quality assessment, cost accounting of construction works
- Keep the project bill of quantities updated (“quantity record booklet”) according to passive invoicing procedures.
- Update the project management database with actual data.
- Supply and verify quantitative data for extra works, dayworks, and support in defining New Prices (NP) and Change Work Orders (CWO).
- Monitor daily man-hours and equipment usage for site contractors or direct-hire activities.
- Assess active and passive progress in accordance with contract requirements.
- Verify correct implementation and use of project management systems, including subcontractor data.
- Ensure consistency of data with company procedures, project agreements, preambles, price lists, and subcontract terms.
- Prepare quantity management reports, work progress statements, and cost-to-complete estimates.
- Certify subcontractors’ work progress for accountability purposes, in compliance with project procedures and contracts.
- Support the Construction Manager, Discipline Superintendent, Contract Manager, Risk Manager, and Project Manager in identifying risks/opportunities and managing subcontractor performance (e.G., delays, claims).
- Assist in technical and administrative resolution of subcontractor or client claims.
- Contribute to feasibility analysis and preliminary budgeting based on IFC drawings.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience as Quantity Surveyor (preferably in Electrical & Instrumentation) .
- Knowledge of construction information systems and quantity management procedures.
- Familiarity with contract administration, progress measurement, and cost control.
- Ability to work collaboratively with construction, engineering, and contract teams.
- Good analytical and reporting skills.
- Experience coordinating teams is an asset.
