For our client, an American multinational and global leader in motion and control technologies, we are looking for a Quality Leader .
Responsibilities
- The Quality Leader reports hierarchically to the Plant Manager and functionally to the Division Quality Manager.
- Provides leadership and management of quality at the facility, in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures.
- Ensures that quality policies, plans, standards, and requirements are met, maintaining and improving quality, especially in new product development and major modifications.
- Manages quality staff, coordinates quality engineers, and interfaces with all plant functions, customers, and suppliers.
- Defines and meets quality requirements at all levels for proper planning and verification.
- Provides leadership in achieving facility objectives related to customer service, quality, cost reduction, productivity, and safety.
- Develops and implements systems to proactively manage quality processes.
- Interfaces with customers to provide technical support regarding quality management and products.
- Leads error-proofing and detection initiatives, root cause analysis, and promotes preventive and corrective actions.
- Champions continuous improvement projects, coaching teams in customer complaint handling and problem solving.
- Provides technical recommendations to meet material control, product quality, and customer service goals.
- Communicates organizational and regulatory requirements to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Implements performance metrics to evaluate organizational performance, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Shares best practices across teams and leads supplier evaluation activities.
- Monitors supplier quality and leads internal and external audits.
Your Profile
- Master's Degree in management engineering or related technical field.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Managerial experience, preferably in the automotive sector, with leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in Italian and English.
- Knowledge of automotive core tools such as APQP, MSA, SPC, and IMDS.
- Familiarity with mechanical design, moulding, assembly lines, electronic assembly, and related manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 (a plus).
- Experience with quality plans, SPC, FMEA, PPAP, and continuous improvement techniques.
