Gi Group Spa filiale di Massa Carrara, located in Sala Spezia, is recruiting a Quality Lead Engineer for its Carrara plant (with team members also in a North European plant). The role focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction through quality processes, products, and services, building long‑term loyalty and mutual success.

Responsibilities

  • Guarantee the quality of products and services, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and develop the Quality Control / Quality Assurance team.
  • Ensure the Quality System complies with ISO certifications and manage internal audits.
  • Continuously improve processes, procedures, and tools, including Lean initiatives.
  • Serve as the internal reference for quality culture and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor Cost of Poor Quality, define KPIs and waste‑reduction plans.
  • Manage internal and external non‑conformities and lead root‑cause analyses (RCA).
  • Act as the quality interface with customers.
  • Motivate and coordinate the team to achieve service, quality, and time goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing Quality and/or Continuous Improvement, preferably in energy or engineering.
  • Preference for background in Energy/Aerospace or Automotive.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related fields (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong experience in Operations and/or Quality functions.
  • Experience coordinating, developing and motivating teams.
  • Background in change management in dynamic, international, high‑complexity contexts.
  • Excellent analytical skills and comfort with quality data and data‑driven continuous improvement.
  • Track record of leading quality and continuous improvement projects.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills, including with non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in main IT tools (Office suite, especially Excel; ERP experience preferred).
  • Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 17:00. Contract: Permanent, direct employment with the Company. Salary and benefits will be discussed in a preliminary interview. The position is based in Carrara and requires occasional international travel.
