The QHSE Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures across the company’s sites and projects, in Italy and abroad. This includes high-risk operations involving post-tensioned structures, anti-seismic installations, and the engineering, deployment and operation of specialized heavy construction equipment. The QHSE Manager ensures full compliance with international and local standards and fosters a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.

Quality Management

Develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 and project-specific requirements.

Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and contractual requirements.

Manage non-conformities, implement corrective/preventive actions, and ensure effective closure.

Health & Safety Management

Lead the development of the Health & Safety Management System in accordance with ISO 45001.

Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and enforce control measures for high-risk activities, including: Launching girder and segment lifter operations; High-elevation work, suspended loads, confined space entry; Post-tensioning and grouting operations under high pressure.

Ensure site compliance with all applicable regulatory, statutory, and client safety requirements.

Lead incident investigations and ensure effective root cause analysis and communication of lessons learned.

Environmental Management

Monitor the Environmental Management System aligned with ISO 14001.

Ensure compliance with environmental permits, local regulations, and project-specific requirements.

Monitor and mitigate environmental risks related to:

Equipment operation (oil/fuel spills, noise, dust, emissions)

Waste management, material storage, and disposal

Construction activities in sensitive environments (e.g., over water, near communities)

Prepare environmental reports and liaise with relevant environmental authorities as needed.

Leadership & Coordination

Integrate the various QHSE functions/staff of the organization, at worldwide level (Europe, North America, India, Australia) and ensure their competencies development.

Monitor QHSE KPIs, ensure adequate reporting and present findings to senior management and project stakeholders.

Foster a strong culture of proactive safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
