Quality Control Engineer – QC Turnover Lead - up to €70k

We’re looking for a Quality Control Engineer / QC Turnover Lead to join a high-performing team delivering complex data centre projects in Milan. This is a key role for someone who takes pride in getting things right the first time and knows how to drive quality across every stage of delivery.

As QC Turnover Lead, you will play a central part in ensuring systems, processes, and documentation are delivered to the highest standards, supporting a seamless handover on world-class mission critical projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong quality culture across the project team
• Coordinate closely with Planning, Engineering, Operations, Commissioning, EHS, Supply Chain, and client stakeholders
• Develop, manage, and monitor ITPs, checklists, approvals, and test documentation
• Oversee weld traceability, weld logs, qualifications, heat maps, and NDT reviews
• Define and agree test pack lists, system boundaries, and turnover content
• Support equipment and asset tracking, including QR-code-based systems
• Plan and deliver walkdowns at various stages, including internal, third-party, and pre-test inspections
• Track snags and drive close-out while maintaining strong data integrity
• Review first-of-kind benchmarks and monitor progress reporting
• Ensure instrument and equipment calibration compliance
• Collaborate with Commissioning Leads on L3–L5 commissioning schedules
• Use tools such as Power BI and BIM 360 to maintain accurate reporting and issue tracking
• Monitor KPIs and supply chain quality performance, driving corrective action where required
• Conduct root cause analysis and verify corrective and preventive actions
• Support the development and compilation of BCAR, LEED, and BREEAM plans and certification documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in Quality Control on large-scale industrial, mission critical, or data centre projects
• Strong understanding of P&IDs, SLDs, schematics, test packs, and turnover processes
• Experience managing multiple inspections, systems, documents, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge standards when needed
• High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
• A mindset that sees quality not as paperwork, but as a core part of project reputation and delivery excellence
