QA Automation & Performance Engineer

Role Summary

Spindox is seeking a QA Automation & Performance Engineer to join our team in Rome.

Responsibilities

• Design and build test automation frameworks from scratch, integrating them with CI/CD systems.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts in Python and Java.
• Automate functional UI and API tests using Robot Framework, Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress.
• Implement and manage performance tests with JMeter, Gatling, Locust, and orchestration via Taurus/BlazeMeter.
• Collaborate with development and PM teams to identify test requirements and improve overall quality.
• Produce clear, structured reports and present results to key stakeholders.
• Promote QA and performance engineering best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in test automation and performance testing.
• Strong knowledge of Python and Java.
• Proficiency with Robot Framework, Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress.
• Experience building automation frameworks from design to deployment.
• API testing experience using Postman and RestAssured.
• Performance testing tools: JMeter, Gatling, Locust.
• CI/CD pipeline experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Docker and Kubernetes knowledge for execution environments.
• Fluent in English.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Independence in problem solving and proactive solution proposal.
• Team-oriented and knowledge-sharing attitude.

Nice-to-have

• ISTQB Performance Testing certification.
• Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Monitoring/observability tools: Grafana, InfluxDB, Prometheus.
• BDD/TDD methodology familiarity.
• AI-driven test tools: Testim, Mabl, Applitools.
