PWT Customer Service Sales Area Manager

Primary Function:
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for developing Customer Service sales, driving growth in aftermarket products and services to achieve business targets. He/she manages the assigned area with the goal of increasing market penetration, working closely with dealers and customers to strengthen business relationships and maximize results.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets in both turnover and margin for the assigned area.
- Present, negotiate, and formalize yearly contracts with customers and dealers.
- Expand sales penetration within the Independent Aftermarket (IAM) by scouting new customers and developing new sales channels.
- Provide dealers and customers with regular performance updates and manage incentive programs to ensure achievement of targets.
- Analyze sales trends and share KPIs with dealers and customers (e.g., sell-in, sell-out, stock management, performance by commodity and channel, competitor benchmarks).
- Co-develop and monitor sales & marketing action plans with dealers to grow parts and service business across all channels, from assessing business potential to defining customer prospecting strategies.
- Take ownership of all sales opportunities and issues raised by dealers, with a strong focus on driving incremental business.
- Coach and support dealer aftermarket sales teams by monitoring visit plans, conducting weekly business calls, and holding monthly meetings with dealer parts managers and salesforces to build tailored action plans.
- Conduct regular visits to dealers, sub-dealers, workshops, and local OEMs according to a structured calendar.
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to management, identifying risks, opportunities, and variances from plan, explaining root causes, and proposing corrective actions.
- Contribute insights on competitive positioning and customer demand to support future product planning and industrial footprint decisions.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, or equivalent.
- Solid knowledge of powertrain products.
- Familiarity with sales and negotiation techniques.
- Previous experience in similar roles, with exposure to finance, credit risk control, and international business rules and procedures.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Languages: fluent Italian and English.
- Strong coaching skills and proven ability to work effectively in a team.
- Results-oriented mindset with a logical, structured approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and self-confidence.
