Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Proposal Manager to be based in either Milan or Verona, Italy. The role is full time - unlimited, reporting to the Country Technical Manager. You will bridge technical expertise and commercial strategy, supporting business growth and customer satisfaction in the solar PV sector by preparing and delivering competitive, technically sound proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the assessment of new EPC opportunities and prepare tailored offers based on customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective and technically accurate quotations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Legal, HSE, Finance, O&M) to complete tender documentation.
  • Ensure company qualification for customer tenders and manage prequalification processes.
  • Conduct site visits and engage with local subcontractors to support project feasibility and pricing.
  • Continuously improve and automate the quotation process through new tools and workflows.
  • Manage the full tender lifecycle from RfP/RfQ to final offer submission.
  • Apply internal procedures from Gate 0 (opportunity identification) to Gate 4 (contract signature), using cost calculation tools, checklists, and formal approvals.
  • Represent the company at industry events, fairs, and meetings to strengthen client and contractor relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Country Technical Manager and Managing Director to identify new business opportunities.
  • Support the EPC Project Manager during final negotiation stages and post-contract handover.
  • Manage new O&M opportunities in coordination with the O&M department, ensuring alignment with tender requirements.

Your energy is required

You impress us with these qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering (preferably Industrial, Electrical, Energy, Electronic, Mechanical, Civil, or Informatics).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an EPC Project Manager for photovoltaic projects ≥10MWp in Italy (preferably 4 years and ≥40MWp).
  • Previous experience as Proposal Manager, Project Engineer, Engineering Manager, or in O&M is considered a plus.
  • Proven ability to define EPC project budgets, schedules, and resource planning.
  • Experience in customer relations and technical-commercial negotiations.
  • Strong knowledge of the Italian EPC market, IPPs, subcontractors, risks, and opportunities.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site assessments.
