PV Construction Manager Italy (Remote)

Role Overview

The Construction Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management and strategic direction of the construction division, ensuring operational, financial, legal, and resource efficiency. This role involves overseeing projects from planning to execution, optimizing division performance, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties

  • Lead the overall management and growth of the PV construction division.
  • Oversee recruitment, negotiation, and coordination of site personnel.
  • Ensure project execution meets objectives in terms of quality, timelines, costs, safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Drive the development of people, processes, tools, and systems to support organizational growth.
  • Manage and monitor departmental budgets, conduct cost analyses, identify deviations, and implement corrective measures to maximize profitability.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and project updates.
  • Coordinate activities and resources with other divisions across the organization.

Secondary Duties

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Civil, or related field).
  • Strong knowledge of photovoltaic and electrical installations.
  • Proven expertise in personnel management and financial oversight.
  • Languages:
  • Native Italian (required)
  • Spanish (B2–C1, preferred)
  • English (B1–B2, required)
  • Additional languages are an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years as a Construction Manager in the photovoltaic sector (essential).
  • Proven experience in business management and leadership.
  • Experience managing turnkey photovoltaic projects (desirable).
  • Experience overseeing electrical installations (desirable).
  • Additional training in project management and finance is a plus.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams, including defining and tracking individual objectives.
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Financial acumen to optimize project and company profitability.
