Our client is an international manufacturing group operating multiple production sites and advanced industrial processes. The business serves global markets and is currently strengthening its procurement function as part of a broader organizational development plan.
Position
The role reports directly to the Italian General Manager and will have full ownership of the procurement function for the Dubai branch , with responsibility for purchasing processes, supplier management, cost control, operational continuity and local team coordination.
The position combines operational accountability with a strategic mandate to strengthen procurement governance, improve supplier base management and align local purchasing practices with the Group’s industrial objectives.
The Purchasing Manager will oversee the full procurement function, covering direct and indirect materials, MRO, spare parts and technical services. The role includes leadership of a team composed of buyers, warehouse supervisors and a material planning specialist.
The objective is to improve operational standards, streamline processes, enhance MRP and master data governance, and implement structured sourcing practices within a centralized procurement framework.
The position works closely with Planning, Operations, Engineering/Maintenance, Finance and supporting functions, contributing to procurement budgeting and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the procurement strategy for direct and indirect materials, MRO and technical services.
- Optimize the supplier base through structured scouting, qualification and negotiation activities.
- Oversee MRP processes, item master data, reorder rules and material classification standards.
- Manage contracts, commercial negotiations and compliance across categories.
- Lead, coach and develop the procurement and warehouse team.
- Monitor budget performance and ensure cost control across major expense categories.
- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance and Supply Chain to secure operational continuity.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Economics or related disciplines.
- Proven experience in procurement roles within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of MRO, technical materials, maintenance and spare parts management.
- Advanced ERP proficiency, ideally with experience as a key user for Material Management.
- Team leadership skills and ability to develop internal competencies.
- Strong negotiation and process-structuring skills.

Average salary: AED 21,000–26,000 per month, equivalent to approximately EUR 5.000–6.000 per month.
