ROLE SUMMARY:
The International School of Milan (ISM), part of the Inspired Education Group, is seeking a well-qualified and inspirational Psychology Teacher to join its Secondary School from August 2026.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Psychology teaching within the IB framework, contributing to a rigorous, student-centred and inquiry-led learning environment. This role would suit a reflective practitioner who is passionate about psychology, committed to academic excellence, and keen to contribute positively to a collaborative international school community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach Psychology within the IB curriculum (primarily IB Diploma Programme, with potential contribution across secondary where appropriate)
  • Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with IB philosophy and assessment criteria
  • Prepare students effectively for internal and external IB assessments
  • Use assessment data to monitor progress, provide timely feedback, and inform teaching
  • Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs, including multilingual learners
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and interdisciplinary learning
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through meetings, enrichment activities and school events
  • Uphold and model the IB Learner Profile and the Inspired Education ethos
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement and academic integrity
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Essential
  • A degree in Psychology or a closely related field, plus a recognised teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching Psychology at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering IB-style curricula
  • Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills
  • A collaborative, student-centred approach to teaching and learning
  • Legal right to live and work in Italy (EU passport or valid work permit)
Desirable
  • Experience teaching IB Diploma Programme Psychology
  • Experience in an international or multicultural school environment
  • Familiarity with inquiry-based, concept-driven learning
  • Ability to contribute to curriculum development or future leadership initiatives
