Mission
The Proposal Manager will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of the technical and commercial proposal in accordance with the Invitation to Bid requirements and the in compliance with execution strategy defined with the Company management.
The candidate will be assigned and lead the proposal team from the initial phase of the proposal up to the final negotiation with the Client and, in case of successful award, will prepare the handover package to the operating team.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
- to define the proposal budget;
- to analyze the ITB technical and commercial documentation and prepare the proposal execution plan and proposal schedule;
- to plan and organize the internal KOM for the start of proposal preparation;
- to lead, with the support of the estimating department, engineering, procurement and construction estimating activities with the aim to guarantee the best level of competitiveness of the commercial proposal;
- to coordinate the technical departments to prepare the technical proposal in accordance with the ITB requirement and in accordance with NextChem and Maire Group procedures and quality manuals;
- to coordinate the Corporate functions in order to define the best vehicle (branch, company) to sign and execute the project;
- to coordinate the Corporate functions to prepare the comments to the draft of the Contract included in the ITB;
- to present for approval the proposal summary and the cost/revenue summary to the Commercial and Operations SVP and Business Development before submission of the commercial proposal to the Client;
- to communicate with Client during the bidding phase in tight coordination with the Sales Manager, Business Development Manager and the Area Manager;
- to lead the technical and contractual negotiations with the Client;
- In case of award, to prepare the handover package to Operation.
✅ Requirements
- At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar position in the same industry;
- Master Degree in Chemical Engineering is a strong puls;
- Experience in the Energy transition bids and projects will be highly appreciated;
- Fluent in English, other language is a plus (French, Spanish);
- Pro-active mentality and attitude and “think out of the box” approach;
- Strong business judgment supported by strong analytics, not limited to technical mindset;
- Strong and decisive leadership, combined with the right energy and resilience to deliver results;
- Availability to travel in Italy and abroad.
