Proposal Engineer - MECHANICAL COMPONENTS

Role Description:

The candidate will be part of the Quoting team, responsible for the sourcing and costing of mechanical components and materials for the preparation of commercial offers related to new business opportunities, as well as supporting the definition of procurement price lists for the Procurement team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with the Technical Department to analyze incoming requests.
• Manage RFQs by interacting with local and global suppliers to collect information on costs and supply conditions (MOQ, payment terms, procurement lead times, delivery terms, and warranty conditions).
• Evaluate and optimize supplier offers to meet required cost targets.
• Use the company ERP system to record and analyze quotations

Required Skills:

Hard Skills

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of experience in similar roles within mechanical manufacturing environments.
• Good command of the English language.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with company management systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical technical drawings.
• Solid technical analysis and cost optimization capabilities.

Soft Skills

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with international suppliers.
• Curiosity and proactivity in identifying innovative and cost-effective solutions.
• High level of adaptability and precision, especially when working within regulated and compliance-driven environments.
