Project Structural Engineer – Fives Intralogistics

Fives Intralogistics SPA is a multinational leader in the design, construction, commissioning and support of plant and machinery for automatic handling and sorting in the market of carriers, postal, distribution and e‑commerce. We are expanding our structure and searching for a qualified professional to support projects in the department of engineering.
The chosen candidate, reporting directly to the Senior Project Structural Engineer, will support all activities related to scaffolding and the metal support structures of machines, workstations, and related access points.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the manager to provide specialist assistance throughout all project phases, from proposal to commissioned operational plant.
- Perform preliminary sizing and define static frames of structures within geometric constraints of plant layout and client specifications, aiming for optimal structural solutions.
- Calculate foundation loads.
- Prepare cost estimates.
- Write technical specifications accompanying tender requests.
- Validate and align received offers.
- Supervise supplier activities to ensure product quality control.
Requirements:
- Degree in civil engineering or architecture.
- Familiarity with FEM modelling; knowledge of MidasGen is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
- Proficiency with the Office suite.
- Good written and spoken English.
- At least 3 years’ experience as a structural engineer.
- Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to deepen technical knowledge.
