Project Services Manager – Major Energy Project – Milan, Italy

A leading international engineering and project delivery organisation is seeking an experienced Project Services Manager to support the execution of large-scale capital projects within the energy sector.

This is a senior role responsible for overseeing all project service functions across complex engineering, procurement, and construction programmes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project services teams covering cost control, planning, document control, logistics and procurement support
• Oversee project cost monitoring, forecasting and financial reporting
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases
• Coordinate subcontractor schedules and ensure alignment with the overall project programme
• Support procurement and contracts teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment and services
• Oversee logistics planning including personnel mobilisation, equipment transportation and offshore coordination
• Manage document control systems ensuring contractual documentation requirements are met
• Prepare and present project reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, regulatory requirements and company procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognised university
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in project services / project controls within major engineering or energy projects
• Strong background in EPC / EPCIC project environments
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary project services teams
• Strong analytical, organisational and reporting capabilities
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
