What The Day Will Look Like

Responsibility for the project management of risk and insurance due diligence process, amongst others client assessment, report writing, data room review, Q&A sessions, and advisory on risk and insurance related issues. Focus on providing insurance-related services to corporates, leading financial sponsors (including investors in Private Equity, Infrastructure and Real Estate asset classes), and portfolio companies in M&A transactions and during their life cycle.

Reporting to the Head of Risk & Insurance Advisory Italy, key focus areas of the role include:

  • Support in the carrying out of the Insurance Due Diligence process from beginning to end:
  • Conduct project management work with short deadlines and strictly confidential information
  • Generate and supervise RFP responses and high-quality and timely client results.
  • Interact with the broader team in EMEA/UK and internationally (incl. the US), including brokers, coverage/exposure experts, originators and client service teams as well as insurers
  • Preparation of the Due Diligence report, including i) the review of the transaction information provided by the client (generally in virtual data rooms), ii) the analysis of the Target’s risk exposures and mitigants (risk profile, insurance programmes, claims performance and contract risks (when required) and iii) the design of the new insurance programme when required by the transaction
  • Interaction with the different advisers of a transaction such as Investment Banks, M&A Boutiques, Law Firms, Financial Advisors, and Lenders.
  • Contributing to the development of commercial relationships with investment funds and corporate, detecting opportunities for cross-selling of other Aon products, services and / or solutions including cyber security and climate due diligence and work in conjunction with the cyber and climate M&A teams to position these additional workstreams.
  • Assisting in the placement of insurance programmes after the closing of the transaction together with broking teams effectively converting due diligence projects into ongoing client engagements and revenue.

Aon is currently recruiting a Project Manager to join our Risk & Insurance Advisory Practice, which sits within Aon’s M&A and Transaction Solutions business.

As a Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-growing, innovative, and entrepreneurial team. You will relate with clients and prospects from a strong M&A professional network in the domestic and international market. As you become proficient in the role there will be opportunities to specialize in specific sectors (e.g. infrastructure), develop your own clients and collaborate more closely with other specialisms with the EMEA M&A practice. International mobility and overseas secondments e.g. in London are also possible.
