Summary:

This role will support the development of two or more research programs and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of preclinical activities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively execute research and development plans as approved by the management team and board of directors. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, scientific acumen, and the ability to build and maintain collaborative, cross-functional relationships—both within Extend and with external partners and key opinion leaders.

Main Areas of Responsibilities

  • Independently lead and execute the planned preclinical projects in coordination with management, scientific founders and key opinion leaders
  • Assist in defining the preclinical projects scope and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the definition of project methodology, goals and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including interdependencies and actions necessary for each task to ensure program success, according to agreed project methodology and track progress based on agreed timeline.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust based on project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Ensure timely identification and escalation of critical risks and issues with developed recommendations and solutions.
  • Present to the management status reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Complete project evaluations and assessment of results to define continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Management of CROs and eventually CDMOs

Requirements

The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:

  • Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biology, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years related industrial work experience
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Team working attitude
  • Previous experience as Project Manager or Program Manager in biotech is a big plus
