Your mission that drives sustainability in logistics
This is a 2-year fixed-term role dedicated to a high-impact project in Italy—a chance to take real ownership and see your work turn into tangible railway infrastructure. You’ll join a committed team to drive delivery on the ground, collaborate closely with key stakeholders, and help shape a more sustainable future for logistics through a project you can point to with pride.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day execution of railway infrastructure projects in Italy, acting as the primary project manager and company representative on site.
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plans to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, planners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives, scope, schedule, and deliverables.
- Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, contractual, and technical requirements.
- Monitor and control project performance, including budget, schedule, resources, risks, and scope, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Identify, assess, and resolve project issues and risks, driving practical solutions to maintain project progress.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project reporting, providing regular updates on progress, risks, costs, and key milestones to management.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders while representing the company in a professional manner.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements to support project profitability and operational excellence.
- Implement and utilize Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodologies to enhance project coordination, collaboration, and visualization.
- Maintaining strong and positive relationships with the relevant local authorities and municipalities
- Assistance with land-related clarifications with local authorities and RFI.
- Assistance with building permit procedure
- Assistance in technical Site DD for upcoming Italian CargoBeamer locations
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project; experience with iTWO and SAP is an advantage.
- Fluent in Italian with professional proficiency in English (minimum B2 level); German language skills are an advantage.
