Project Manager - Disaster Recovery & Operational Continuity (Financial Sector)

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead and support disaster recovery and business continuity projects within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing complex IT infrastructure programmes, particularly those aligned with ISO 22301 standards for operational continuity and resilience.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP), Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Application Risk
• Assessment (ARA) across enterprise-grade environments
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure, application, and vendor stakeholders to ensure timely execution of recovery procedures
• Oversee documentation and validation of DRP/ARA deliverables, including technical dependencies, recovery mechanisms, and compliance mappings
• Manage stakeholder communications and reporting, including regulatory and audit-facing documentation.
• Facilitate tabletop and full failover tests, ensuring alignment with business impact assessments and continuity requirements.
• Support procurement and scope definition activities for DRP/BCP engagements, including template development and service catalogue alignment.

Required Skills and Experience :

• Proven experience in project management within IT infrastructure and financial services
• Deep understanding of enterprise-level networking, including firewall rules, load balancers, and failover mechanisms
• Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, identity federation, and authentication dependencies
• Strong familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure and AWS), including hybrid recovery models and SaaS consumption frameworks
• Knowledge of datacenter operations, including on-premise and cloud recovery site coordination and service offering classifications
• Experience with enterprise file transfer platforms and their integration into DRP scenarios
• Understanding of ISO 22301 and its application to business continuity planning and impact analysis
• Understanding of DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) requirements and their impact on financial institutions

Preferred Qualifications :

• Certifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) and Business Continuity (CBCP, CBCI, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer)
• Familiarity with enterprise technology frameworks and service catalogues is a plus
• Fluency in English and Italian, with strong written and verbal communication skills
