Youman , an executive search and recruitment company, is supporting one of its key clients in the search for a Project Manager / Customer Lead to lead customer projects and support the growth of its operations in the Italian market.

They help transport operators and authorities optimize their resources efficiently and sustainably, providing cutting-edge tools to make public transport services more cost-effective, reliable, and focused on passengers’ needs.
About the Role
As a Customer Lead , you will be responsible for managing and delivering complex software implementation projects for clients in the transportation sector. Acting as the main point of contact, you will ensure successful project execution while maintaining strong relationships with customers.
You will coordinate internal teams, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure that solutions are delivered in line with client expectations. This role is key to ensuring customer satisfaction, long-term partnerships, and the successful adoption of the company's solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Define, maintain, and update the project plan, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and quality standards.
- Plan and coordinate project activities, managing all internal resources involved in delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing communication and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones and objectives.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to both internal stakeholders and clients.
- Organize and lead project governance meetings, including internal reviews and client steering committees.
- Manage project scope, identifying and addressing potential deviations or changes.
- Oversee the financial aspects of the project, including budget tracking, invoicing, and payments.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, maintaining and updating the risk matrix.
- Identify and develop additional business opportunities within existing clients.
- Ensure compliance with company policies related to information security and data protection.
Your Skills and Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management, ideally within software, IT, or transportation-related environments.
- Proven experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong ability to manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
- Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing resources.
- Solid understanding of project financials, including budgeting and cost control.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
