Overview

As Project Engineer, you will join our Department of Project Management, in the Business Line Energy Carriers, conducting the activities below.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the preparation of reporting for specific activities of the project execution as defined, case by case, by the PM.
  • Assists the Project Manager during project planning, e.g. preparation of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and other project procedures and plans.
  • Assists in the allocation of resources and in the assessment of the man-hours required to prepare/update the Project Mobilization Plan (PMP).
  • Coordinates specific activities (internal or external to the project), related but not limited to project management, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, at home office or at site.
  • Prepares the Project External Interfaces Management Procedure and identifies, categorizes and manages the Project External Interfaces.
  • Prepares the Project Risk Management Plan, manages the risk assessment and risk response activities, issuing and quarterly updating the Project Risk Register.
  • Prepares the Vendor Assistance on Site Procedure, manages the Project Vendor Assistance on site from notification of Vendor intervention until completion, monitoring costs, reviewing the schedule of the interventions, and reporting periodically on status and criticalities.
  • Prepares the Project Guarantee Claims Management Procedure with Vendors and – during the guarantee period - ensures fulfilment of guarantee requirements by Vendor; prepares the Project Guarantee Claims Management Procedure with Client and – during the guarantee period - manages notification, reparation and closure of any issues on guarantees raised by Client.
  • Prepares the Project Back Charge Procedure and supports the management of the back charges work process.
  • Assists in managing change orders and claims, and supports dispute resolution activities.
  • Supports continuous monitoring of specific critical supplies contributing to the achievement of milestones and the resolution of technical and contractual issues.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering Science
  • Professional qualification/Chartership is a plus, such as PMP, CIOB etc. certification.

Knowledge of English language

B2/C1

Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in EPC Oil & Gas projects.
  • Experience in large scale projects; experience with Major Clients; exposure to different roles within oil and gas/new energies/floaters projects in fields such as design management, planning, contract management, and/or cost management.
  • Record of working within global large teams in multi-disciplinary projects is highly preferred; demonstrable experience in project management activities, tools and techniques.

IT Skills

Knowledge of the Office365 package.

  • Excellent communication and team-working skills.
  • Proven background of resourcefulness under pressure.
