Project Lead and Consultant

About the Role

We are looking for a Project Lead Consultant in SAP's Data Management & Landscape Transformation (DMLT) team. You will lead the delivery of data migration and transformation workstreams in strategic customer projects, ensuring alignment, execution, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the DMLT workstream within complex SAP transformation projects, ensuring scope, timeline, quality and budget.
• Define, plan and track all DMLT project activities and deliverables across the full lifecycle.
• Act as main point of contact for all DMLT topics within the customer project and coordinate collaboration with Solution Architects, regional and global stakeholders.
• Validate project plans, resource needs and efforts during pre‑sales and delivery phases to ensure readiness and feasibility.
• Conduct DMLT kickoff meetings, define project charters, RACIs and align with other streams.
• Drive stakeholder management and maintain clear communication between SAP customers and partners.
• Manage scope change requests and dependencies, ensuring controlled execution and formal customer sign‑off at key milestones.
• Track project progress, consumption and effort forecast and provide regular updates (burn rate, PPC forecast, risk).
• Manage risk, issue and escalation processes jointly with Solution Architects (RAID).
• Oversee cutover preparation and execution for DMLT scope.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure proper closure activities.
• Collaborate with offshore/nearshore resource managers.
• Contribute to delivery excellence by sharing learnings, templates and best practices.

Qualifications

• 37+ years of experience in SAP consulting, project management or delivery of data migration and transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of SAP system landscapes, data migration approaches and transformation methodologies, preferably within S/4HANA transition programs.
• Proven experience leading project workstreams or full projects in multi‑country or large‑scale SAP transformations.
• Familiarity with project management standards (scope, planning, risk, issue and change management).
• Hands‑on experience with SAP migration tools and methods (e.g., Migration Cockpit, Data Services).
• High level of business process understanding across key areas such as Finance, Logistics or HR.
