Project Lead

Role purpose:
- Lead customers and internal teams through the full solution lifecycle, acting as the main point of contact.
- Manage internal/external projects or workstreams ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and with strong governance.
- Coordinate large virtual teams and budgets (~€1M+), ensuring alignment with business priorities, regional needs, and market dynamics.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Support strategic decisions through analysis of market trends, competition, regulatory needs, and customer priorities.
- Manage full project lifecycle: planning, execution, governance, reporting, risk and issue management, and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate solution and product planning with regional teams, ensuring feasibility, compliance, and customer value.
- Build strong customer and supplier relationships to influence product development and ensure successful launches.
- Act as key contact for bids, features, Statements of Work, and support Sales/Bid Teams with solution guidance.
- Present Vodafone’s delivery model, mobilise project teams, and support the transition from bid to delivery.
- Ensure structured reporting of progress, financials, risks, actions, dependencies, and changes.
- Oversee handover to Operations, monitor ramp‑up performance, and drive continuous improvement through Lessons Learned.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Market & Industry Expertise: Knowledge of global market dynamics and regulatory environments;
experience with automotive/industrial solutions (hardware, connectivity, software, services). - Leadership & Strategic Thinking: Ability to lead multicultural, cross‑functional teams and translate insights into execution.
- Project & Delivery Excellence: Proven experience in managing complex, multi‑company projects with solid governance.
- Communication & Negotiation: Strong communicator with negotiation skills;
able to build trusted commercial and technical relationships. - Results Orientation & Adaptability: Resilient, organized, and effective in fast‑paced, multicultural contexts;
strong judgment and confidentiality. - Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field;
an MBA or other advanced degree is highly desirable - Experience from Automotive market or products/solutions
- IATF/APQP
- Automotive SPICE
- PMP/ PMI / Certification
