What's the role?

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented candidate to support the identification and early-stage development of renewable energy projects, with a strong focus on spatial analysis and preliminary project design.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with defining and designing the layouts of all development initiatives, selecting the best technical solutions to be adopted in compliance with expected performance parameters, the existing constraints, site characteristics, and national grid connection constraints.

The role will be closely coordinated with the Business Development units to support strategic site selection and ensure the technical robustness of project proposals from the outset.

Main Activities

Scouting

  • Collect, analyze, and manage spatial data in a shared GIS environment.
  • Perform spatial analysis focused on: Renewable energy resource availability.
  • Site characteristics (topography, land use, accessibility).
  • Environmental and regulatory constraints.
  • Existing and planned renewable projects.
  • Existing and future electrical infrastructure (based on RTE/Enedis plans), with focus on connection points.
  • Update internal GIS databases.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to prioritize high‑potential areas.
  • Contribute proactively with technical suggestions to improve project quality.

Layout Design

  • Develop preliminary layouts and technical configurations considering: Resource assessment.
  • Site constraints.
  • Grid connection feasibility.
  • Optimal land usage and technical performance.
  • Prepare layout drawings and concept designs using AutoCAD and GIS tools.

Land Management

  • Conduct feasibility assessments of potential sites.
  • Support land identification strategies in coordination with local teams.

Procurement

  • Assist in preparing technical specifications for procurement processes.
  • Evaluate technical offers from contractors and suppliers.
  • Carry out environmental and landscape impact studies according to project characteristics and regulations.
  • Provide technical support to the local Technical Advisor for study preparation.
  • Support competent OUs in authorization strategies and in managing technical requirements issued by Authorities.

What You’ll Bring

  • Engineering degree or similar technical field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the sector of development of international renewable energy projects.
  • French and/or Spanish: considered a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (QGIS/ARCGIS), AutoCAD and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of Windpro, GLOBALMAPPER and PVCase is appreciated.
  • Ability to manage large volume and diversity of data to isolate relevant information strength of proposal on technical topics.
