Finance Automation Specialist | Italy | Contract or Permanent
A dynamic international technology company is transforming their Finance function and Financial Systems landscape. The company is scaling quickly and is looking to improve their Finance operations and deliver Automation and AI to support their continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Map finance processes and identify opportunities for automation leveraging AI and other finance systems tools.
- Lead continuous improvement of finance processes by identifying inefficiencies and introducing automation and intelligent solutions to enhance operational performance.
- Evaluate, prioritize and implement automation opportunities across finance workflows.
- Provide strategic input on finance tools and systems that support business expansion.
- Contribute to and lead cross‑functional projects such as system enhancements, new market or product initiatives, and organisational changes.
- Support implementation of new finance policies, reporting frameworks and process improvements.
- Develop training resources and deliver workshops to encourage best practices and effective use of systems.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (with a focus on IT) or a related discipline.
- Approximately 7+ years of experience in finance operations, with hands‑on involvement in finance systems and core processes such as Procure‑to‑Pay, Order‑to‑Cash, Record‑to‑Report.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving capabilities, particularly in process optimisation and data accuracy.
- Experience with automation tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Zapier, Make, 8n8 or similar.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Claude (Project, Skills, Cowork) and/or other AI agent builders (preferably finance‑oriented).
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required.
