General Role Description

The Project Engineer (PE) is responsible for the technical execution of projects, ensuring all engineering, quality, and TR&S activities align with contractual requirements, TMEIC and industry standards, and project milestones.

The PE acts as the technical counterpart for all project stakeholders, supporting planning, risk management, and overall project execution.

This role requires strong technical expertise, solid organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate engineering teams and resolve complex technical issues in a dynamic, multinational environment.

Role Accountabilities

Technical Planning & Analysis

  • Study project specifications and identify technical, quality, and TR&S risks, assuring project compliance
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies and cost–benefit analyses to support project decisions.
  • Develop the technical, quality, and TR&S risk management plan assisting the project stakeholders in the development of project and risk plan.

Technical execution

  • Coordinate the technical team and act as the primary technical interface with stakeholders.
  • Provide engineering expertise during all project phases, from design to commissioning.
  • Manage project technical documentation: drawings, specifications, approvals, revisions, permits.
  • Oversee technical, quality, and TR&S execution according to contract requirements.
  • Assist in the development and execution of project plans, including scope, schedule, and cost control.
  • Identify and manage technical issues, escalating and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Monitor technical, quality, and TR&S project risks and report regularly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support during supplier negotiations and technical clarification meetings.
  • Ensure all technical deliverables meet contractual and TMEIC quality standards.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for quality or technical issues.

Project Closure

  • Ensure full completion of technical, quality, and TR&S deliverables according to contract.
  • Participate in final project review with PM.
  • Prepare and document technical Lessons Learned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of technical experience in electrical systems, automation, or industrial plants.
  • Strong understanding of electrical drawings, control systems, quality processes, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical specifications.
  • Strong organizational and documentation management skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent technical communication skills.
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 25%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Drives, Power Electronics, or Industrial Automation.
  • Knowledge of certification processes, FAT/SAT, testing and TR&S activities.
  • Experience coordinating technical suppliers.
  • Familiarity with Oracle, CRM systems, and document management tools.
