Project Engineer – Superyacht New Build

We are currently supporting a highly respected yacht management company in their search for a Project Engineer to join their team, working across complex superyacht new build projects.

This is a hands-on, shipyard-based role with involvement across the full lifecycle from engineering and construction through to commissioning and sea trials.

The Role

You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, acting as a key link between engineering detail, shipyard execution, and project delivery.

• Support day-to-day technical oversight of new build projects

• Monitor on-site construction progress and build quality

• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and system integrations

• Coordinate with shipyards, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Track technical actions, open items, and contractor deliverables

• Conduct inspections, QA checks, and support snagging processes

• Assist with commissioning, testing, and sea trials

• Report on progress, risks, and technical challenges

What We’re Looking For

• Y2 (or equivalent) engineering qualification

• Previous experience as a yacht engineer (2nd Engineer or above) on 50m+ vessels

• Strong understanding of yacht systems (mechanical & onboard)

• Experience working in shipyard environments xdwybme (new build or refit)

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• EU residency and willingness to travel within Europe
