Wood is recruiting for a Project Engineer - Graduate to join its Projects – Process and Chemical team focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior Project Engineer in the coordination of the engineering team, and prepare multidisciplinary documents requiring interaction with several technical disciplines.
  • Attend technical project reviews with the client, such as P&ID review, HAZOP, 3D model review, and ensure all client comments are captured in the design.
  • Be assigned to construction site to provide technical assistance during erection of the plant.
  • Mechanize and update the P&IDs from the first process issue up to issue for construction and “as built”.
  • Prepare the Equipment List, the Line List, the Fluid List, and the Tie-in List.
  • Coordinate with other project engineers in Wood Global Execution Center (India).
  • Prepare Material Requisitions for filters, special items and other miscellaneous equipment, and coordinate with vendors.
  • Prepare the Hazardous Area Classification and the Fire Hazardous Area analyses.
  • Support the Senior Project Engineer or Engineering Manager in the technical coordination of the engineering disciplines.
  • Attend project reviews with Client.
  • Assigned to construction site as required.

Qualifications

  • MSc in mechanical, chemical or energy engineering.
  • Self-motivation, flexibility, a proactive outlook and good communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; good Italian.
  • The availability to be relocated abroad.
