Barilla G. & R. F.lli wants to recruit a Project Engineer (Energy and Electrical and Mechanical Utilities), based in Parma (Italy) and reporting to the Technical Development Associate Director – Project Engineering Meal Solutions.
Job purpose
The individual is responsible for coordinating the external suppliers and executing standard and innovative projects related to modification of existing machines in line with Company guidelines. Moreover, he/she is in charge to contribute to technical tasks related to technical specifications, technical issues and capex definition in collaboration with other units.
Key Accountabilities
Technical Specifications
- To draft technical specifications for machines or groups of machines, interfacing with the other company functions for the definition of requirements, proposing technical solutions aimed at maximizing the return on invested capital and optimizing costs.
- To support the Purchasing dept. in the selection of the suppliers through the evaluation of the quotations and in the negotiation phase.
- To ensure the compliance of the new equipment to the internal quality, safety and environmental standards.
Project Execution
- To manage the execution phase (installation and testing) until the successful release and to coordinate internal staff and external resources
- To contribute and support of specific technical issues occurring during the project’s execution coming from RD&Q, Technical development or Plants.
Capex definition
- To collaborate in the definition of the CAPEX process for own area of competence
Requirements
- MSc in Energetic Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of work experience, preferably in energy efficiency or industrial utilities projects
- Sound understanding of automation systems
- Strong teamwork skills
- Ability to work in parallel on different projects
- Fluent both in Italian and English
- Willing to travel in Italy and abroad (up to 50%)
