Linum Consult’s client is an international design and build main contractor, specialising in large commercial and industrial buildings. They are currently seeking a Project Director to join their team on a manufacturing facility construction project in Milan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Based on site, you will be managing the main contractors, sub-contractors, designers and cost consultancies
- Overseeing the detailed design of the project
- Leading the project management team to ensure that the project cycle is completed and meets the agreed standards and objectives
- Carrying out portfolio cost control and forecast reporting, estimating project budget approval reviews, and conducting costed risk management
- Creating an organisation structure to optimise the most efficient use of resources
- Preparing the budget for your department, and monitoring the financial performance of the project; rectifying any problems that arise
- Carrying out regular site inspections to ensure that all works are carried out to high standards, deadlines and budgets.
- Recommending improvements to departmental policies and procedures
PROFILE
- Degree qualified in Construction or Engineering
- Strong background within the construction industry, with experience of working on highly-technical large industrial buildings
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written Italian and English
- A history of working for either main contractors or engineering consultancies
- The right to live and work in the EU
