ILOS is a fast-growing renewable energy company with a strong presence across Europe, backed by AXA IM Alts and committed to accelerating the energy transition. Since 2018, we have developed, built, and operated large-scale solar PV projects across seven core markets.

THE ROLE OVERVIEW
This role is ideal for someone who combines technical expertise with strong stakeholder management skills. You will take ownership of projects from site evaluation through to construction, working closely with landowners, local developers, authorities, and regulators to move projects forward.
Based in Rome 3 days a week (subject to travel responsibilities), you will play a key part in growing our Italian portfolio and ensuring successful delivery. If you are proactive, detail-orientated, and motivated by driving the energy transition, you will thrive at ILOS.
TASKS
- Evaluate solar project opportunities and support site selection, land acquisition, and permitting.
- Manage feasibility studies, environmental assessments, and grid connection evaluations.
- Manage relationships with landowners, local authorities, utilities, and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee the preparation of planning applications and ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, finance, and legal) to secure project approvals and funding.
- Manage with external teams (local developers, engineering firms, legal firms) to produce all the studies and documentation package for the authorization of the projects.
- Lead the transition of projects from development to construction, ensuring seamless handover and continuity.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and construction teams to ensure resource availability and compliance with technical specifications.
- Monitor development progress, quality control
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders during the development/execution phase, including investors, regulators, and community representatives.
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s or masters degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in solar project development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or project management role.
- Strong understanding of the solar project lifecycle, from site acquisition to commissioning.
- Proven ability to manage permitting processes, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with project execution, construction oversight, and contractor management is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Gantt charts).
