PROJECT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (F / M)
Position based in Rome, Italy
Permanent contract
Responsibilities
Within the development department, you will develop utility‑scale photovoltaic plants from greenfield stage through ready‑to‑build status, ensuring compliance with regulations, technical feasibility, and economic viability.
TO DEVELOP RAW LAND UTILIZATION
- Conduct land analysis and feasibility studies to evaluate technical, environmental, and economic constraints.
- Assess permitting requirements and negotiate land agreements, contracts and manage the end‑to‑end permitting process while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
TO COORDINATE WITH GRID OPERATORS AND STAKEHOLDERS
- Liaise with public administrations, local authorities, and community representatives to build project acceptance.
- Negotiate and manage agreements with grid operators and other technical partners.
TO COLLABORATE WITH CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS
- Transfer ready‑to‑build projects to execution teams with complete documentation and provide technical and administrative support during transition to ensure continuity.
TO MONITOR PROJECT PERFORMANCE
- Follow timelines, budgets, and milestones; prepare executive‑level reports for decision‑making.
Qualifications
You have a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field and minimum three years of experience in project development of utility scale raw land PV plants in Italy.
You are familiar with the complete permitting process from greenfield to construction and have experience negotiating agreements and contracts in the renewable energy sector.
You have a proven ability to work with public administrations and grid operators.
