Position
Lead the PMO function overseeing the end-to-end management of collections and selected strategic projects, ensuring alignment across development, industrialization, and delivery, from collection calendar definition to finished goods shipment.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the PMO team (Project Managers and Coordinators)
- Oversee the execution of all collection-related projects across functions (Design, Product Development, Sourcing, Production, Logistics)
- Ensure the definition, consolidation, and monitoring of collection calendars and milestones
- Supervise project planning (WBS, Gantt, critical path) and ensure consistency across all collections
- Monitor project execution through KPIs and RAG status reporting
- Ensure timely escalation and resolution of risks and issues
- Coordinate cross‑functional alignment meetings and project reviews
- Guarantee adherence to deadlines from development to final shipment
- Validate project deliverables at key gates (prototypes, samples, production readiness, bulk completion)
- Oversee resource allocation across projects and collections
- Ensure proper use of PMO tools, templates, and governance processes
Strategy and Key Tasks
- Define and implement the PMO governance model, methodologies, and tools
- Drive the overall collection planning strategy, ensuring feasibility and industrial alignment
- Act as key interface with Industrial Director and top management on project portfolio performance
- Lead prioritization of projects and collections based on business and operational constraints
- Ensure alignment between creative timelines and industrial capabilities
- Drive continuous improvement in time-to-market, efficiency, and execution reliability
- Identify and manage cross-collection risks impacting overall business performance
- Support strategic initiatives (e.g., new product categories, process transformations, sourcing shifts)
- Build a strong project management culture across the organization
- Ensure visibility and transparency on project portfolio status at executive level
Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Management, or equivalent), Business Administration / Management or Supply Chain Management
- Previous experience in the fashion industry and in a similar role is mandatory
- Advanced capability in project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Primavera or equivalent)
- Deep understanding of fashion product lifecycle (design development industrialization production distribution)
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-project environments with interdependencies
- Strong knowledge of critical path analysis, capacity planning, and resource allocation
- Solid financial acumen (budgeting, cost tracking, business case evaluation)
- Experience with KPI frameworks and performance dashboards (including RAG reporting)
- Familiarity with PLM systems and ERP integration (e.g., SAP, Stealth, Centric)
- Strong risk management and mitigation planning capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management at executive level
- Ability to translate creative and commercial inputs into feasible industrial plans
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English. Italian and French are mandatory
