Overview

Program Director - Closed role at Moleskine Foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the growth of the programs both in terms of impact and fundraising
  • Develop and coordinate a network of cultural organizations and creativity pioneers at an international level
  • Identify and select institutional funding opportunities and develop funding proposal
  • Manage one project manager and coordinate external resources (consultants, suppliers, advisors and volunteers to the programs)
  • Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization
  • Develop budgets, operations and growth strategy for the programs under the direct responsibility
  • Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements
  • Advising the CEO on strategy, particularly concerning programs growth
  • Supervision of communications activities of programs under the direct responsibility
  • Active participation in recruitment, finance and other organizational processes

Job Details

  • Responsibilities include the same program growth, network development, funding opportunities, and governance as described above.

Job Requirements

At least 7 years’ work experience. He or she will be able to demonstrate:

  • A strong track record in education, creativity and social impact work
  • A strong track record of developing programs, identify and pursue funding opportunities and developing proposals with a specific focus to institutional donors
  • Experience in developing, managing and coordinating networks of organizations and professionals at an international level
  • Strong knowledge of the institutional donors ecosystem with a specific focus on education and culture.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably Italian
  • Capacity to work as part of a small team in a fast-paced, flexible environment
  • Extensive experience procuring and managing contractors, including consultants, academics and non-governmental players
  • Strong research skills, and experience applying them to complex, international research projects outside of one’s field of expertise
  • Strong knowledge of social innovation methodologies
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects while managing conflicting priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit
  • Experience working internationally with a specific focus on various regions of the African continent
  • Interest in the arts and culture

Interview/start dates: Successful candidates will be contacted in the same week and asked to attend an interview during the first two weeks of February 2021. The contract will start in March 2021. Our standard working hours are 9.30 am-6.30 pm.
