Job Description

Professional Services within Fortinet is an integral part of the support and services organization. The Consultant will collaborate with their assigned Customer and peers to drive customer satisfaction. This role is for an on-site engagement.

The Professional Services Consultant works on Customer site, providing timely, quality, and cost-effective technical services, including vendor expertise during security infrastructure design, deployment, testing, verification, optimization, and operation services.

The Consultant demonstrates technical ability, focused communication skills, and a structured approach. Continuous technical skill improvement through training or on-job learning is essential. The role requires collaboration and building effective relationships within the Customer and Fortinet to ensure success.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Customer during the Think and Build phases of a project.
• Develop and maintain technical project documentation: high/low level design, method of procedure, test plans, configuration templates, and scripts.
• Provision, customize, and verify Fortinet configurations based on approved design.
• Test Fortinet solutions and verify system behavior.
• Participate in interoperability/integration testing of devices interacting with Fortinet products.
• Recommend and implement Fortinet best practices.
• Resolve and escalate technical issues promptly.
• Deliver knowledge transfer to client staff.
• Maintain core competency on Fortinet’s product line and technologies.

Job Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in LAN/WAN/Network Security Products.
• Experience designing and implementing FortiGate solutions or major 3rd party security solutions.
• Experience with complex routing and WAN environments, including BGP and OSPF.
• Experience in maintaining, deploying, or designing MPLS networks, particularly L3 VPN.
• Exposure to MSSP or managed service environments (multi-tenancy, monitoring, reporting, supportability).
• Scripting and automation experience (e.g., ZTP, integration into orchestrator, controllers, dashboards).
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, eliciting cooperation from diverse sources.
• Positive customer service attitude with excellent soft skills.

Education

• University Degree in a technical or management discipline and/or extensive relevant work experience.
