Job Description

About the role

Planner/Schedulers ensuring the Avery Dennison’s manufacturing facilities perform with optimally efficient production schedules while minimizing downtime and disruptions. They forecast production volumes, material usage, machine capacities, and department resources to schedule runs as efficiently as possible.

Key Responsibilities

This is an on-site position.

  • Forecast production volumes, material usage, machine capacities, and department resources to schedule runs as efficiently as possible.
  • Collaborate with operations, customer service, procurement, and other department leaders to resolve scheduling conflicts and address potential bottlenecks.
  • Review and adjust schedules to accommodate shifts in priorities or to mitigate unexpected delays.
  • Coordinate with Avery Dennison’s supply chain teams and with external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components necessary to deliver the production schedule.
  • Gather data, provide reports, and make recommendations to improve planning/scheduling for the departments or technologies they support.

Qualifications

  • Background in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in production planning and scheduling.
  • Proficient in inventory management and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound decision making abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
