Our offer
In this role, you will join in the Supply Chain & Procurement department and take on the role of Production Planner, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Planner Coordinator.
You will primarily participate in and contribute to production planning by gathering information from the Sales / Sales Forecast department to provide production with the detailed resources required to meet production constraints, optimise production lines and fulfilment times, and manage demand planning.
Main responsibilities
- Receiving, analysing and consolidating forecasts and customer orders relating to the organic and pharmaceutical product lines, ensuring consistency between commercial demand and production capacity.
- Planning and scheduling production across multiple lines and product levels (semi-finished and finished products) whilst adhering to capacity constraints, delivery times and customer service targets.
- Entry, management and monitoring of production orders via company management systems (AS400/Microsoft Business Central).
- Use of APS (Advanced Planning System) to simulate production scenarios, optimise line utilisation and balance workloads.
- Ongoing collaboration with the Sales, Production and Purchasing departments to align production plans, manage operational issues and monitor commercial priorities.
- Monitoring and updating key planning and service KPIs (service level, line utilisation, lead time, stock coverage, forecast accuracy).Structured reporting and data analysis to support the Production, Sales, Controlling and Management departments.
- Leading demand planning activities, through analysis of demand trends, monitoring of variances between forecasts and actual sales, and contributing to the improvement of forecast accuracy.
- Operational management of several projects aimed at improving planning and supply chain processes, involving coordination between different business functions.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of planning processes, stock management and information flows between business functions.
Qualifications
- bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business or Management Engineering, or a technical/scientific diploma;
- 1-3 years of experience in similar roles;
- Knowledge of business processes, organisational structure and the working methods to be applied in relation to production planning;
- Good familiarity with MRP and ERP (Business Central) tools, and excellent knowledge of Excel;
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Teamwork skills and problem solving attitude;
- Previous experience in planning/scheduling and demand planning;
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biological sector would be an advantage.
