About The Job
The Production Planner coordinates the production schedule to meet customer demand, optimize resource utilization, and ensure on‑time delivery. This role coordinates across departments—including supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, and sales—to balance inventory levels, capacity, and lead times. The Planner uses forecasting data, sales trends, and production capabilities to create efficient and achievable schedules while minimizing costs and ensuring high service levels.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders and forecasted demand.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources needed for production.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excesses.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve any scheduling conflicts or issues.
- Analyze production data and make recommendations for process improvements or efficiency enhancements.
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and order fulfillment.
- Understand customer priorities and align with production to ensure the company meets customer expectations.
- Process and manage all orders launched in SAP ERP and manage the backlog report.
- Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving on incoming orders and deliveries as requested by the customer.
- Collaborate and communicate with departments to ensure finished goods flow to the shipping area.
- Collect all data necessary for invoice packages on outgoing orders.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and critical deadlines.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or bachelor’s degree (preferred) in engineering, business administration or any related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Proficient in using scheduling software, MS Office applications, and SAP Production.
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a production planner (or similar roles) in a structured and multinational environment.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to learn and adapt to various operating systems and software.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Work Environment
This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers and phones. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.
Physical Demand
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full‑time position, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with additional hours as business needs necessitate.
Travel
Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required to support the rapid growth of the company.
