For our Client, a leading industrial company, we are looking for a qualified
Production Manager
The role will be responsible for leading all aspects of production, production planning and scheduling, ensuring the factory produces the right products at the right time while maximizing fabrication and assembly utilization, meeting customer delivery commitments, and maintaining optimal sub-contracting with third party suppliers. This role oversees factory shopfloor management, make and buy process, master production scheduling (MPS), detailed shop floor scheduling, and capacity planning processes, ensuring the effective use of different machines, operators’ availability at Cisterna and customer sites, and in alignment with demand and operational capabilities. The Manager partners and interface closely with different functions but not limited to engineering, operations, purchasing, project management, sales, commercial teams and customers to align the production plan with customer needs, operational constraints, and strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Planning & Schedule Production: Develop and manage assembly schedule to meet delivery deadlines.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate factory shop floor teams to achieve performance goals. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvements.
- Process Optimization: Implement lead manufacturing principles to improve workflow and reduce waste.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all machines and subassemblies meet technical specifications and pass quality inspections including FAT (factory acceptance test) before shipment.
- Resource Management: Monitor design & drawing release, coordinate with engineering and procurement, and ensure timely availability of parts.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure workplace safety standards and conduct regular safety audits
- Reporting: Track production metrics (output, downtime, defects) and report to senior management.
Requirements & Experience:
- Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Proven experience in production or assembly management, preferably in machinery or equipment manufacturing or small batch size manufacturing industries. (Minimum 15+ years and at least 3-5 years in a leadership role)
- Strong leadership, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, six sigma, or similar methodologies is an advantage.
- Proficiency in ERP/ MRP systems and production planning tools.
- Exceptional time management, organisations, and planning skills. Quick learner with positive attitude.
