Profile Middle East is looking for: Production Engineer.
MISSION:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join our team in the Oil & Gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting both site and Smart Room operations by providing technical expertise in monitoring, analysis, and optimization of production processes. A key focus will be minimizing greenhouse gas emissions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing operational performance at the Tempa Rossa Oil Centre.
TASKS:
- Provide day-to-day operational and technical support to the Smart Room and site production teams.
- Monitor greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and flaring activity, identifying root causes and optimizing flare performance.
- Support site operations in areas such as wells management, chemical usage, production processes, and plant monitoring/optimization.
- Collaborate on process studies and recommend system improvements or facility upgrades.
- Prepare weekly reports on flared gas volumes and SO₂ emissions from the flare and incinerator.
- Investigate the source of flared gas and analyze correlations with maintenance activities.
- Support investigations of environmental exceedances and contribute to corrective action planning as per the Environmental Monitoring Plan.
- Track and summarize air quality and odorous emission exceedances identified via TEEPIT’s fixed monitoring network.
- Design, maintain, and optimize dashboards in PI Vision, including site-wide sensor integration and logic implementation.
- Develop advanced monitoring tools using PI System and PI Asset Framework (PI-AF) to analyze and optimize plant performance.
- Conduct and support field-based activities such as test runs, performance evaluations, and fiscal metering tasks.
- Monitor emissions data from six regulated emission points using the SME system.
- Quickly notify relevant teams in the event of anomalies or exceedances of authorized thresholds.
- Archive daily emissions data and prepare daily summary reports.
- Collaborate with site personnel during process upsets to troubleshoot and document causes, corrective actions, and system restoration.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports as needed.
- Draft and circulate official notifications to authorities in line with Regional Decree DGR 588/2021 (AIA).
- Record and track anomalies (Production, Process, Environmental) and corresponding corrective actions.
- Support the CSR team in preparing air quality and odor reports for stakeholder communications or public complaints.
- Assist the Environment (ENV) department with monthly GHG calculations and conversion of flaring data.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in process engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas production processes, process control, and facility operations.
- Proficient in PI System, PI Vision, PI-AF or similar real-time data systems.
- Understanding of GHG accounting and emissions monitoring practices.
- Competency in analyzing heat and mass transfer, fluid dynamics, and energy conversion.
- Experience with process safety management and regulatory reporting.
- Fluent level of Italian, written and spoken.
