Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

The Production Director is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of complex live events within the venue. The role exists to ensure all production activities are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards, while effectively managing resources, technical departments, and stakeholder relationships to guarantee a seamless event experience.

Main activities

  • Develop and manage the production plan in coordination with Venue Management and the Ceremonies Directorate.
  • Coordinate technical functions (e.g., water supply, connectivity, power, general services, and installation of lighting, audio, video, and staging) and the staff involved.
  • Oversee construction, rehearsals, and setup phases, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Liaise with suppliers, partners, and internal and external stakeholders, managing day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, internal procedures, and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot technical and organizational issues throughout all production phases.
  • Prepare progress reports and maintain regular communication with Venue Management and the Ceremonies Directorate.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in managing complex productions (theatre, live events, large-scale shows, ceremonies).
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of key technical departments and staging operations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset in multidisciplinary settings.
