Production Assistant – Polar Fruit International (Vida Produce Company Group)

Polar Fruit International, part of the Vida Produce Company Group, is seeking a highly motivated and field-oriented Production Assistant to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring product quality, strengthening producer relationships, and supporting the ongoing growth of our agricultural supply network.
About the Role
As a Production Assistant, you will work closely with producers, visit orchards and packing facilities, evaluate product quality firsthand, and support the identification of new business opportunities. Your work will directly contribute to the company’s quality standards, service levels, and commercial planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Classify and estimate products based on Polar’s quality policies to support distribution and commercial planning.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with producers, evaluating orchards and product offerings to identify new business opportunities.
- Conduct regular inspections of products and packaging at production and packing facilities to ensure compliance with certifications and company quality standards.
- Record and analyze product quality data to assess producer performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform comparative sampling of orchard production levels, implementing timely solutions when standards are not met.
- Research market trends, competitor offerings, and supplier capabilities to strengthen the company’s commercial position and product portfolio.
Qualifications
- Degree in Agronomy or a related field.
- Technical knowledge in logistics and supply chain, product quality, phytosanitary standards, and fruit production.
- Basic Excel proficiency.
- Residence in Puglia, Italy.
- Advanced English.
- Availability to travel within Puglia and to other locations in Europe.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in agricultural production, fruit quality control, or similar roles.
