The HV Battery Product Quality & Behavior Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the quality, durability, and field performance of our battery systems across the full product lifecycle.
The role acts as the interface between Quality, Engineering, Platform, Manufacturing, and Service organizations to monitor product behavior, drive continuous improvement, and secure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor battery performance and quality KPIs across development, production, and in‑field operation
- Analyze field data, warranty cases, and returned components to identify emerging issues, trends, or deviations
- Lead structured problem‑solving activities (8D, Ishikawa, FMEA) to ensure robust root cause analysis and effective corrective actions
- Support design reviews and validation activities by providing quality insights and product behavior assessment
- Collaborate with Engineering to evaluate design updates, software improvements, and performance enhancements of the battery system
- Interface with Supplier Quality and Manufacturing teams to verify process stability, component conformity, and compliance with Iveco Group quality standards
- Contribute to the release and maintenance of quality documentation, including control plans, validation requirements, and technical reports
- Provide technical support to After‑Sales and Field Service organizations on battery‑related issues
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and support Iveco Group’s commitment to quality excellence
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related fields
- 2–5 years of experience in battery systems, energy storage, or automotive/powertrain quality roles
- Knowledge of lithium‑ion battery technology, degradation mechanisms, and diagnostic methods
- Familiarity with BMS concepts and high‑voltage safety principles
- Experience with quality methods (8D, FMEA, SPC) and automotive quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
- Ability to analyze large datasets and interpret test results
- Strong analytical mindset, problem‑solving orientation, and attention to details
- Effective communication and ability to work in cross‑functional teams
- Proactivity, ownership, and continuous improvement attitude
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
