About the position
Dometic is a global market leader in the mobile living industry. Millions of people around the world use Dometic products in outdoor residential and professional applications. We are on a growth journey now looking for a Product Manager for supporting our Mobile Power Solution sub-segment.
The Regional Product Manager Mobile Power Solutions manages the full lifecycle of the Mobile Power Solutions product portfolio in his / her competence within the local markets with the key objective to drive profitable and sustainable growth.
Your main responsibilities
The core responsibility is to drive the development and delivery of a highly relevant innovative and profitable product portfolio that positions Dometic as a leading supplier of Mobile Power Solutions with the local market (Americas APAC or EMEA) target end-user markets.
Develop relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders across the market to develop deep regional market knowledge.
Analyse information and data about significant market trends underlying target customer needs and competitor positioning to develop actionable insights that will form the basis of the Regional Mobile Power Solutions portfolio product plan.
Support ongoing integration of acquired Mobile Power Solution companies by building relationships driving product management process adoption assessing synergies and maximising broader opportunities within the regional markets.
Propose to Regional Head of MPS a strategic product plan for the region including product roadmap generation plans prioritised product gaps strategic objectives and critical success factors that will ensure the portfolio will consistently meet business goals over time for growth market share innovation index and profitability.
Execute the Regional Mobile Power Solutions plan to key global stakeholders to validate it and gain buy-in.
Present and advocate for the Regional priorities for Mobile Power Solutions in discussions with leadership product management counterparts in other regions product development product sourcing and in product development and management governance meetings.
Reduce business complexity by actively prioritising new product introductions which will optimise the number of SKUs whilst balancing the Regional market needs for new Mobile Power Solutions with increased product globalisation.
Champion new product development product sourcing product improvement and packaging improvement for the Mobile Power Solutions portfolio that meets or exceeds Dometic sustainability targets and / or local legislation.
Collaborate with the product development and product sourcing teams to complete pre-studies for potential new product introductions.
Define the Book of Requirements (BoR) to specify the performance features cost and price positioning for all new Mobile Power Solutions projects that successfully pass the pre-study phase.
Create and maintain the business case for new product developments.
Work with the development and sourcing teams within the Dometic Product Development / Improvement Projects (DPDP and DPIP) to ensure that new Mobile Power Solutions product developments and / or sourcing activities meet the agreed launch timing technical functional design and packaging requirements as well as target costs.
Complete all key product management deliverables required for the DPDP and DPIP projects within the Regional Mobile Power Solutions portfolio in his / her responsibility.
Work with the compliance team members and take appropriate action to ensure that all the current and new Mobile Power Solutions products manuals packaging and labelling remain in compliance throughout their entire sales lifecycle.
Ensure that product validation activities for new products or product improvements including inspecting Off Tool and Engineering samples supporting PPAP and conducting field trials are completed as required.
Work with the sales teams and e-commerce teams to develop price positioning and channel strategies for the new and existing products within the portfolio to ensure volume growth revenue and profit performance meets business case commitments.
Work with the sales and marketing teams to drive and deliver the Go to Market activities for Mobile Power Solutions new product launches within the various markets and sales channels and ensure outcomes are consistent with the product strategy and meet business case commitments.
Work with supply chain and sales to forecast plan and manage the phase in of next generation and phase out of last generation products to support price positioning in market optimise working capital and reduce risk of obsolescence. Develop clearance plans where necessary with sales and marketing teams.
Complete regular data analysis of the portfolio. Identify and communicate priorities for improvement in price volume revenue profitability mix stock holding and product warranty.
Champion initiatives to drive continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle including cost optimisation through VAVE projects and warranty improvement projects.
Maintain and update product master data for all SKUs in the Regional Mobile Power Solutions product portfolio and support as necessary master data projects to drive continuous improvement and improve system / business performance and integration.
As required represent Dometic and support sales and marketing teams with Customer visits business winning presentations product showcases and insights and feedback from Customers and End-Consumers where appropriate.
Adhere to agreed product management processes and provide input and feedback on continuous improvements to the processes to drive increased productivity effectiveness and efficiency.
Support sales and service team as required with rework and service campaigns.
Ensure that internal stakeholders who are critical Customer and End-User touch points have a fluent knowledge of the Mobile Power Solutions products in market.
Market Intelligence (liaise with sales and customers analyse competitors research for new trends visit trade-fairs networking with associations)
Product Launch (grow business with new product launches supervising product installation support Marketing for further projects & activities)
Product trainings (train internal sales teams support for special customer events)
Major KPIs : Innovation Index Dometic Profitable Expansion & Financial thresholds Technical knowledge in continuously update Forecast Up-to-date product assortment
